Loan Debt Relief is a Priority of NFDW

The U.S. Department of Education has implemented temporary changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program rules that make it easier for federal student loan borrowers to receive credit for past periods of repayment that could otherwise not qualify for forgiveness. These changes end on October 31, 2022. Millions of government and private, non-profit employees have federal student loans and may now be eligible for loan forgiveness or additional credit toward forgiveness under these time-limited PSLF changes.

Your help is needed to spread the word about PSLF and ensure all those who are eligible have access to this loan forgiveness and know what they need to do to apply.

In order to achieve this, a White House Public Service Loan Forgiveness is hosting a Day of Action for Federal/State/Local/Tribal Governments’ employees on August 24th and asks you to join the program.

To participate in the White House PSLF Day of Action for Federal/State/Tribal Governments, the Department is asking you to not only promote the Day of Action but to encourage participation by:

*Amplifying the PSLF program on social media.

*Sharing the new White House PSLFsite www.pslf.gov with       your networks.

*Sending a personal email to your colleagues and friends on          August 24 to promote the PSLF Program.

The PSLF website includes a simple 3-Step Eligibility Tool that borrowers can use to determine eligibility, a one-page explainer document for borrowers, and social media graphics that you can use.
