Action Alert

May 25, 2022

Our children are being murdered at school! Innocent citizens are being murdered while simply shopping for groceries. These horrific acts of senseless violence are the epitome of an inhumane crisis in our country. There have already been 220 mass shootings in 2022. The standard condolence that our “thoughts and prayers are with you” sounds like hollow brass because Democratic women want action, policies, and the change that can end these horrifying and grim actions.

NFDW has previously passed resolutions aimed at expressly protecting children and ending random violence has been our priority. Today we are calling on all members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives to stand up and take every action needed to remove weapons from the hands of those who should not have firearms.

Call the office of every U.S. Senator and call every day until the Senate passes the legislation needed to put an end to our children being slaughtered in their classrooms. Call the offices of your member of the House of Representatives, and also call all other members of Congress from your state and region. Make your voices heard.

According to the Pew Research Center, 53% of Americans want stricter gun laws. Take to the streets and reach out to others to join you. It is time that lawmakers listen to the American people.

After the mass murder in Texas on May 24, 2022, we can only imagine the gripping pain the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and grandparents are living with today. . The United States is the only country in the world that lives with this type of riveting, callous and cowardly violence.
