Director Northern Nevada
This Board position is responsible for representing issues of concern specific to this geographic area of Nevada directly to the organization. They are also responsible for recruitment to the organization in this area and ensuring engagement with the individual, associate and group members.

Director Rural Nevada
This Board position is responsible for representing issues of concern specific to this geographic area of Nevada directly to the organization. They are also responsible for recruitment to the organization in this area and ensuring engagement with the individual, associate and group members.
Candidate must reside in Rural Nevadaa.
Director Southern Nevada
This Board position is responsible for representing issues of concern specific to this geographic area of Nevada directly to the organization. They are also responsible for recruitment to the organization in this area and ensuring engagement with the individual, associate and group members.
Candidate must reside in Southern Nevada.
Standing Committee
The Audit Committee will provide oversight of the financial reporting process, the audit process, the organization’s compliance with state and national bylaws and state and national democratic party policies. The Committee will consist of the 5 members and include a representative from each of the three geographic regions of the state (where membership allows) and following the organization’s inaugural year, the immediate past president. We are currently looking for an Audit Committee Chair.
Standing Committee
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the organization’s Bylaws. The committee will also propose new amendments to the bylaws including helping members draft bylaw amendments to propose to the general membership. They are also responsible for all communication to members pertaining to proposed bylaw amendments. This committee is currently chaired by Secretary Rosa Mendoza and is looking for members.
Standing Committee
The fundraising committee is responsible for raising the finances required to deliver the organization’s mission, including lobbying trips to Carson City, supporting women candidates, and providing scholarships to women and young women. The Committee will focus on establishing a fundraising deck to establish a foundation of corporate sponsorship as well as to plan specific fundraising events and activities. This committee is chaired by Treasurer Kathy Lauckner and is looking for members.
Standing Committee
Led by the Vice President, the legislative committee is responsible for the planning and delivery of NVFDW’s legislative priorities including proposing and drafting Resolutions; scheduling lobbying trips to the Capitol during session; lobbying & advocacy training for members; developing and maintaining relationships with elected officials; and working with the State Party Platform Committee.
Standing Committee
The Public Relations and Communications Committee is responsible for collating and disseminating relevant information to our members and the public. This committee will include members who have expertise in drafting press releases, social media marketing & website development. In addition, this committee will be responsible for scheduling any media engagements and will provide support to the President/VP for any media events.
Special Committee
Chaired by the organization’s Registered Agent, Clara Thomas, the Strategy Committee is tasked with developing a strategy and implementation plan for growth and outreach to ensure that the voices of all democratic women in Nevada are heard. This committee is actively seeking members.
